The 3rd age pickaxe is a clue reward from master clues that serves as the tier 85 pickaxe for mining. It requires a mining level of 85 to wield and start using or else the game will say "You are too low level to use this item". It currently is the best pickaxe in the game and can mine ores faster than the dragon pickaxe.

The first 3rd age pickaxe to be obtained by a master clue casket in the main game was obtained on 5/12/21.
It is currently the Second 3rd age item obtained in the main game as well.
Despite being a pickaxe from the 3rd age, it is currently unknown who made them or what they were used to mine back in the 3rd age.
