Agility
Agility skill guide

Agility is a skill based around movement that enables players to utilize things like shortcuts and agility training courses. In addition to opening up agility shortcuts, this skill also determines how long your stamina lasts and how fast it refills. Stamina allows running for longer distances and reducing fall damage by sneaking whilst falling. The agility cape increases the stamina refill rate. Stamina is also used in combat when attacking.

Training[]

Agility can be trained in two ways. Sprinting around grants agility xp passively over time with the rate of 0.1 xp per meter. The passive gain only works when running forward. Walking does not activate the passive gain. Jumping while sprinting does increase the experience gain but the increase is almost non-existant. Crouching and staying still after sprinting while stamina is restoring also grants agility xp. The primary way of training agility is to complete agility courses as they offer superior experience gains. Each completion of a course rewards agility xp and agility tickets.

Equipment[]

Agility equipment are untradable items with beneficial effects for training agility and exploring the Desert. They can be purchased from Ayzer -1670 / 78 / 250 in Brimhaven with agility tickets.

Agility courses[]

All courses vary in location and difficulty as well as xp gain. They are marked with Map icon agility course on the world map. The courses are based on parkour and have challenging jumps and navigation. As such, it is ideal to pick an easy course to improve xp gains. Throughout the courses there are multiple checkpoints where the player can return to while completing the course in case they fail to complete an obstacle. This can be done with the /checkpoint command. A checkpoint is activated by stepping on it. The checkpoint command only works for the latest active checkpoint. Another useful command is the /res command which returns the player to the beginning of the course. Some obstacles can be quite high in the air so failing such obstacle leads to fall damage. Due to this, having food while training on agility courses is convenient.

In order to complete a course, all of its checkpoints must be visited. Completing a full lap on a course rewards xp. When clearing a course for the first time, the regular xp reward is multiplied by five. All the agility courses are affected by double experience. However, the first time clear bonus is not affected by double experience.

NOTE: Speed potions are not allowed in agility courses and consuming one nullifies the lap.
