In Minescape agility can be trained at agility courses scattered across the land, or passively simply by running and jumping. Experience is gained when your stamina recharges.
Agility may also be trained in conjunction with other skills by 'resting' back to full stamina. Try squatting (holding shift) while completing other tasks in Minescape such as fishing, thieving, or even combat. You will passively gain agility experience this way and replenish your stamina more quickly.
Below are the locations of each course, with a video speedrun of each one, courtesy of Gentleman Azir. Can you beat the fastest time?
Speed potions cannot be used on agility courses.
Recommended Items[]
- Agility orb (Allows the wielder to instantly reset back to the last checkpoint)
- Agility boots (will negate fall damage entirely)
- Food (used to heal after falling from great heights frequently)
Both the agility orb and agility boots can be purchased using agility tickets from Ayzer in Brimhaven. Both these items are absolutely essential for completing difficult agility courses.
Starting Agility[]
Agility is one of the most mechanically demanding skills in the entire game and your xp rates will heavily depend on your parkour ability. However there are some courses that are simply more worth your time than others. When first starting off it is advised to assess your current skill level and gauge what course will be best for you. It goes without saying doing a course repeatedly will help you to reduce your time considerably, however, attempting a course that is vastly more difficult than what you can do will be inefficient as you should opt for an easier but doable course. There are typically 5 courses that you should be considering for leveling agility ranked from easiest to hardest with the xp yield being in order as well.
- Lumbridge's course - Easy
- Al-Kharid's course
- Mort'ton Training Facility Part 3: Hard (Requires level 25 agility)
- Brimhaven - Easy (Requires level 40 agility)
- Brimhaven - Hard (Requires level 40 agility)
Choosing the Right Course[]
It is recommended that you try Al-Kharid's course first to gauge how good your parkour is. If you find it challenging, that's okay, keep at it for a while until you learn the route and familiarize yourself with it's jumps. It'll take some time but eventually it should get easier than when you started. If you're finding it still too challenging even after many attempts, it might be best to switch over to Lumbridge's easy course for lower but more consistent xp.
If Al-Kharid is becoming rather easy for you, it might be best to move onto either Mort'ton or Brimhaven. If you have the agility level for it, try Brimhaven first. You can easily reach Brimhaven's agility facility with a games necklace. In order to reach hard, you'll first have to complete easy and medium.
If you can consistently complete Brimhaven hard in under 2 minutes then this is the best course for you. No other agility course will even come close to these xp rates. However, if you find it takes well above 5 minutes per run, switching to either Mort'ton Hard or Brimhaven Easy. It's really up to you which one do to. Whichever one you can do better or whichever one you just enjoy more will be ideal. Disliking an agility course will drain you quickly so it might be better to do a course you enjoy rather than one you don't even if the yields are higher.
One extra sidenote about Brimhaven Hard, even if your first few attempts take well over 5 minutes, don't be discouraged, this course can be extremely difficult until you've practiced it enough times. Don't be surprised if it takes literally over an hour for your first run, over time your average time will drop so give it a chance before immediately switching to another course.
Reaching 99[]
Currently there are no requirements in the game higher than 85 agility so the only reason to go beyond is to reach either 99 or 120, but if you plan to max agility the best course by far is Brimhaven Hard. If you can consistently complete this course below 2 minutes the xp yield will be vastly higher than any other course in the game currently. The problem is this course is brutally difficult with consecutive challenging jumps, but very few in total, meaning if you can successfully master these few jumps, this course can be completely rather quickly.
