Attack
Attack skill guide

Attack is a melee stat that can be trained by defeating mobs in combat.

Leveling attack allows equipping higher tier weaponry. Higher attack level also increasing hit accuracy when using melee combat. The accuracy aspect becomes very useful when facing stronger enemies, as it allows to deal damage successfully more often. The attack cape has an effect that increases critical hit chance.

Training[]

Attack experience is gained through means of melee combat. Attack experience is gained for every successful hit and is calculated from the dealt damage. The melee style affects how much of the experience goes to attack. With attack style, all the experience goes to attack. With balanced style, 1/3rd of the gained experience goes to attack and the other thirds go to strength and defence.

Standard Weapons[]

Standard melee weapons are weapons that can be made by the player through smithing and most are commonly obtained as monster drops. Each metal of standard weapons has the same set of different weapons.

Special Weapons[]

Special weapons are weapons that can not be made and can only be obtained from mob drops - many of which are bosses, clue caskets or by trading with other players. Most of these weapons are rare and hard to obtain.

Defenders[]

Defenders are off-hand items that provide offensive stat boosts when worn. The dragon defender additionally provides defensive stat increases. For more information and how to get them, see Warriors'_Guild#Defenders.

Tips[]

  • It is generally recommended to prioritize your Attack level over your Strength level, as the damage increase given by higher tier weaponry far outclasses that of an equivalent increase in Strength. However, it is still advised to train Strength once you have a high enough attack level, in order to maximize your damage.
    • Additionally, prioritizing the Attack stat first will make training up Strength and Defence a lot quicker when you decide to train them up higher.
  • Holding right click will save you some clicks by auto attacking a mob.
