Essentially, if you click on a Location page, you should expect to see nearly the exact same basic structure, format, and layout of the information on the page. This information should be standardized, and formatted for increased accessibility and uniformity. It makes sure that people know where to look for the information they need, and know where to add new information that may be missing.

State of the Wiki - moving forward

Any good Wiki needs a strong foundation, and I don't think its any different with the Minescape wiki. Much of what we need still hasn't been completed yet, and these factors include:

  • Templates Page
    • Quotes
    • Images (captions, etc.)
    • Page classification
      • Stubs, Citation Needed, old content, needs to be moved etc.
  • Community Portal outlining guidelines for the future
    • To do list
    • Admin noticeboard
    • Deletion requests
    • Suggestions
  • Categories
    • Examples - skills, items, locations
  • User Groups and Permissions
    • Admins, Trusted Editor, etc.

What all of these have in common is that while they may be hard or time-taking, it means that future editing will become easier and faster, and thus it will overall help the Wiki in the long run.
