Crafting is a skill used to craft tools, armour, weapons and jewellery. A wide range of materials is used in crafting. They can be obtained through woodcutting, farming, mining, smithing, runecrafting and combat. The materials are made into items at crafting tables which can be found in some cities and villages. Crafting has its own guild which offers a tanner, crafting table, plenty of gold and silver veins, a bank deposit and Cows which can be killed for their hides. The crafting cape offers unlimited teleports to the guild.
Training[]
Crafting is trained by turning materials into items at crafting tables. Each item grants a set amount of experience. Each item requires a high enough crafting level in order to be made. The first craftable item is string, which is made from flax. In order to begin training crafting, From Flax to String must be completed to learn how flax is made into string.
One way to train crafting is to stockpile materials for a selected item and then mass produce it. The created items can be sold to specialized or general stores, high alchemized or traded with other players. Some might be worth taking into personal use.
Crafting Tables[]
Crafting tables are used to create items. The table has three slots in which different materials can be inserted. One type if item only requires one slot. Multiple pieces of same item can be made automatically in succession, given that there are enough materials in the inventory. Crafting is started by clicking on the desired product on the table's menu. Moving while crafting ends the process and it must be started anew. Players with 85 construction are able to place a crafting table on their island.
