Levels 1 - 50 String[]

Collect Flax in Rimmington and spin it into String at Rimmington's crafting table.

String stacks so bank deposits aren't necessary
Using either Shears or a Hoe from the Farming skill will speed up harvesting time of Flax, but isn't required
This can be a great method for collecting lots of String for other crafting recipes as well as for Fletching

Levels 25 - 45 Fly Fishing Rod[]

An alternative method are Fly fishing rods

Fly fishing rods require 1x String and 1x Spruce log on a crafting table

It is recommended to save up Spruce logs in the bank, then take your ingredients to Seers' Village's crafting table

These give 35xp each for a total of 1,260xp per inventory

Levels 45 - 60 Cage[]

A Cage is made with 1x Stone and 1x Yew log on a crafting table

It is recommended to save up Yew logs in the bank while gathering large amounts of stone nearby to a bank for quick deposits

They give 70xp each for a total of 1,260xp per inventory

Levels 75 - 80 Master's Wand[]

A Master's wand is made with 1x Death rune, 1x Elder log and 1x Gold bar

Large amounts of Gold bars can be gathered by mining Gold ore in the Crafting Guild then either smelting it within or superheating it with Magic then depositing it with the banker upstairs

They give 296xp each for a total of 5,328xp per inventory

Levels 90 - 99 Wizard's Wand[]

A wizards wand is made with 1x Law rune, 1x Sakura log and 1x Gold bar

Large amounts of Sakura logs can be gathered on Entrana and quickly deposited to the nearby banker on the island

They give 400xp each for a total of 7,200xp per inventory

Tanning Method (Crafting Guild - Level 50)[]

Cows are available within the Crafting Guild as well as a Tanner, a crafting table and bank deposit

This makes obtaining Cow hides, tanning them, crafting them into armor then depositing them for later use very efficient

Magic or ranged
Coins to tan the Cow hides
Optional - Steel arrow heads to use on leather armor before depositing for additional crafting xp

Outdated Rellekka method[]

While section is definitely outdated now, but here's what you can do to at least get started on crafting. You craft String to level 7 crafting, after which you will gather 1236 leather from cows. You tan all of it, and craft it into leather boots. After this you should be at lvl 37, which unlocks the studded leather boots. You stud all the boots, and that will get you to lvl 52 crafting. From this point you can craft snakeskin chaps (as well as other stuff later on but ye). Also those numbers can be halved from 1236 to 618 if you craft purely on Double XP.

Cowhides can be thieved from the Rellekka market. Each theft gives 14 xp in thieving.

A full inventory can be thieved in a little over 3 minutes and banked at Peer the Seer just a few steps away.
