Death runes are one of the runes used to cast High-level missile magic spells, such as Air surge, water surge, earth surge, and fire surge, Elemental force, Dark elemental force, and Apocalypse. Death runes are the product of using Rune essence on the Death altar currently location in Higher wilderness, Southwest of the KBD lair requiring lv 65 Runecrafting to produce. They may also be obtained from killing certain npc's, Rune stalls, Barrows chest, and Hard-Master clue scroll caskets.
