Farming

Farming is a skill where players harvest plants to obtain crops. Crops can be eaten to restore health or used in cooking. Farming Skillcape allows crops and flowers to be harvested faster.

Training

Farming is trained by harvesting crops and each harvest yields experience. They are harvested by clicking them. Higher farming level increases harvesting speed. Farming has sweet spot mechanic which allows for slightly increased experience gains. 20 levels above the required farming level enables you to auto farm a crop.

Tools

Tools can be used to increase farming speed. Shears can be used at level 30, and the Hoe can be used at level 60. Both tools can be crafted with the Crafting skill at levels 30 and 60 respectively. Tools can be purchased from other players through trade, from the Grand Exchange or from a Farmer's Shop NPC at the -910 / 76 / -50, north of Port Sarim. Shears can also be obtained as a rare drop from farmers.

While not a tool, an apple pie speeds up farming by 10% for the duration of 40 harvests.

Bees

Bees are adorable and essential little buggers that can be found frolicking the fields, minding their own business, occasionally dancing furiously, but mostly helping the crops respawn just for you! These harmless creatures are friends until abused to which point they may kill you.
