So, you want to get level 99 Fishing for that sick cape, or just to feed your MineScape family? Then you've come to the right place.
First of all, you'll want to go to Port Sarim and buy all the tools that the -987 / 65 / 161 sells, a net (if you somehow lost the one from tutorial island), bait & fly fishing rods and the harpoon. You should probably purchase a couple of each of these Fishing items. You'll be thankful you did the first time (or couple of times, cough, cough) you accidentally press your "Drop Item" hotkey and watch as your favorite Fishing equipment floats off into the vast sea. Alternatively, you may use the /lock command to prevent yourself from tossing your precious gear away.
Keep in mind all the numbers are for the default XP rates, it will be more if there are double XP boosts enabled while you're training!
Time estimates are rough estimates. They take into account the time needed to run to the nearest bank and banking your fish after you caught them and returning. Time estimates can be lower if you drop the fish while you're fishing them. They also take into account failed attempts at catching fish.
Fastest time from 1 Fishing to 99 Fishing with banking is just over 113 hours.

Unlike the Fishing skill in Runescape, your success-rate at catching fish does NOT increase with your Fishing level. This means that you should Fish the highest tier possible once you reach the required Fishing level.
Anchovies Pizza's can be consumed to get 40 catches without failing, which obviously gives a boost to the xp/h.
The level 99 Fishing Skillcape will give you the perk to finally have those pesky buggers escape your grasp, no more fails if you wear it!
The 99 Fishing Skillcape also grants unlimited teleports to the Fishing Guild every 10 minutes.

For this part, you'll want to head over to Taverley and you'll find a great spot in this -1277 / 64 / -401 that's just across the bridge that leads to the Taverley bank.

Go a bit west over to Catherby and the salmon spot will be on the -1535 / 64 / -477 along the coast, use the fly fishing rod here too. There are also salmon in Falador park which are close to Falador east bank.

Grab your harpoon and head back towards Taverley bank and you'll find the Tuna spot just south of the bank at the start of the -1389 / 64 / -398.

Now for this part, you'll need a cage, to get one you can either craft one at lvl 45 Crafting (Stone+Yew log) or you can purchase one from a player or the GE. Once you have it, head back to the -1505 / 64 / -469 in Catherby, the lobsters are right next to the Salmon spot.

It's time to head over to the Fishing Guild. You'll be spending most of the lvls to 99 in here, just a couple of spots are outside, use a harpoon.
Alternatively, you can stay on the beach at Catherby. The -1551 / 64 / -476 is just a bit west of the Bass spot.

Now you'll need to grab your bait rod and head over to Entrana, there's currently two ways of accessing the island, taking a charter ship or if you have lvl 80 magic, you can just teleport there. You'll find the actual -1412 / 64 / -292 on the east shore of the island.
Alternately, you can make the trek to 549 / 64 / 301 where there is also a spot for them which is near a bank for easy banking.
(At 71 xp ea you'll need to fish approx. 867 Tenches to reach lvl 60)

You can fish these on this -1316 / 64 / -58 west of the Crafting_Guild with a cage.
