The Grand Exchange also known as the GE is the hub for all players to buy and sell tradeable items in MineScape.
The Grand Exchange is located northwest of Varrock and has three entrances, including an agility shortcut that requires a level of 45 Agility located on the northwest section of the Grand Exchange.
Active orders and order history of the MineScape Grand Exchange can be viewed on this external site in addition to the in-game interface.
Using the Grand Exchange[]
Players can use the Grand Exchange to buy and sell items, either passively waiting for items to be purchased or sold, or by viewing the in-game interface of what items, quantities of items, and prices are currently for sale.
Options on the Grand Exchange interface can be accessed by speaking to a Grand Exchange Banker, the options include:
- Buy an Item. The player can search for an in-game item, the quantity of that item, and the maximum price they are willing to pay for the item.
- Sell an Item. The player can select an item from their inventory, including the quantity of those items, and the minimum price they wish to sell the items for.
- See Items for Sale. The player can view all items that all players in MineScape currently have submitted for sale on the Grand Exchange, including quantity and price.
- See Items being Bought. The player can view all active requests to purchase items on the Grand Exchange from all players in MineScape. All requests to purchase items, the maximum price being offered, and the quantity requested are all listed.
- Item Inbox. The player can withdraw all items or gold received from transactions on the Grand Exchange.
If two transactions, requests for sale and purchase, overlap in their requested prices, the transactions will automatically complete and players can retrieve items or gold from their Item Inbox. For example, if Player One submits a request to purchase one Raw Chicken for 20 gold, and Player Two submits a Raw Chicken for sale for 18 gold, the transaction will automatically complete.
If players go directly to view active offers on the Grand Exchange and either purchase or sell an item through this interface, the transaction completes automatically, and items or gold can immediately be retrieved from the Item Inbox.
Notable Features[]
- The Grand Exchange is widely used by players to train Herblore mainly for it having the nearest Potion stands to a bank. The potion stands are located on the four corners of the Grand Exchange. It also has an abundance of Rosarius poppus and Noilednad scattered all over the place making it a very good source of both flowers used in Herblore.
- There are also Oak Trees located among the premises of the Grand Exchange for Woodcutting.
NPCs (Non-Player Characters)[]
- Duke Dawkins is an NPC located in the north end of the Grand Exchange which is the starting point of the Crafting a Backpack quest.
