Pre-Information[]
This guide is currently under construction, below has enough information to get you started.
This guide is meant to give you the fastest route to 99 Hunter, as well as some extra information that may save you some time. Another note is that this guide uses Minecraft's XYZ coordinates to guide you to each location, which can be found in the menu opened by the f3 button in game, in the top left corner:
The Guide[]
Before you begin training Hunter, you will need to purchase traps from a hunter shop. The most convenient shop is the Yanille hunter shop (-2405 / 64 / 594). The quickest ways to get here would be an Island teleport (40 Magic), Watchtower teleport (65 Magic), or ring of dueling teleport to Castle Wars. It is recommended to purchase large amounts of each trap (50, 100), and to keep extra of each trap on you while hunting in case you lose them while training due to connection loss, wandering too far from a trap, or other means if you plan to stay for long periods of time.
Also, while potions can be useful to increase your catch rate, I believe you can go without them until you reach 63/73 Hunter if you wish as they make a insignificant difference in xp rates before that point in my opinion.
To start off you will catch Crimson Swift in the Feldip Hills hunting area (-2284 / 64 / 1210) from level 1-19. Once you reach level 19, you will go to Tropical Wagtails (-2510 / 64 / 1069) from level 19-27. These mobs are caught using a bird snare.
Once you reach level 27, you will go catch Ferrets from 27-37 in the Piscatoris Hunter area at . While you are catching Ferrets, you can use them to catch White Rabbits nearby, as they have a low chance of dropping a rabbit's foot, which can be crafted into a strung rabbit foot (37 Crafting) that increases the chance of a animal being caught by 5% when worn in the necklace slot. Once you get one, you do not need to get another unless you wish to sell them to other players. Once you reach level 37, You can move on to prickly kebbits and stay there from level 37-53. As a bonus, these drop kebbit spikes which can be fletched into kebbit bolts (same damage multiplier as mithril bolts) by using a chisel, awarding some fletching xp.
Once you reach level 53, you can move on to Chinchompas from level 53-63, found nearby at . These are only 3 more exp per catch than Prickly Kebbits but they are able to be used for all things related to ranged and are very useful. They are also more relaxing as you will not have to run around constantly placing traps and chopping trees.
Once you reach level 63, you can travel to Carnivorous Chinchompas, found at . These are a stronger version of Chinchompas. At this point you can either make the decision to catch these until level 67 and go catch black salamanders in the wilderness, found at, or you can stay at carnivorous chinchompas to stack up more for ranged use. Whichever choice you make, continue until you reach level 73.
Once you reach level 73, you can move on to Black Chinchompas which you will catch until level 99, located at . Keep in mind that these are located around level 33 wilderness, where players may kill you. I would highly recommend you use a hunter necklace and hunter potions as these will make a large difference going from 73-99.
