Lumbridge is the town where players begin their Minescape journey. New players are sent here from Tutorial Island to ease them into playing the game. Lumbridge is filled with many low level quests, resources and mobs.

Upon death, Lumbridge is the player's default respawn point, although players can change their respawn to other locations by interacting with Anchors located in many different cities.

Central Area[]

Lumbridge Castle[]

Lumbridge castle consists of three main floors, with spiral staircases on either side of the building. The ground floor contains the kitchen, and dining hall. In the kitchen players can find Lumbridge's cook who is the quest giver for Cook's Assistant and Tristan, the quest giver for Marriage Delivery. In the kitchen players can find a fire where they can cook raw food to train Cooking, and a Potion stand where they can brew potions through the Herblore skill after completing the Druidic Ritual quest.
On the second floor lives Horacio, Duke of Lumbridge. He is the quest giver for the Rune Mysteries quest.
The third floor contains the one and only Bank within Lumbridge.
The large gates in front of the castle can be climbed using ladders located on either side, the Lumbridge Beacon is located at the top on the north end.

Saradomin Church[]

Within the church players can find Father Aereck, the quest giver for The Restless Ghost quest, and Cassius, a quest NPC within the Marriage Delivery quest.
There is also a Prayer alter inside, where players can restore their depleted prayer points.

Lumbridge Graveyard[]

In the graveyard players can find Xenia, the quest giver for the Lumbridge Catacombs quest, as well as the unnamed ghost, ???, a Quest NPC within the The Restless Ghost quest.
Completion of the Lumbridge Catacombs quest allows access inside the catacombs, which is a beginner-tier slayer dungeon run by Slayer Master Spria.

Bob's Axes[]

Bob's Axes is a shop that sells beginner WoodcuttingWoodcutting equipment.
Bob can also repair certain types of damaged combat equipment, such as Barrows gear.

Northern Area[]

The Sheared Ram[]

Inside, players will find Bartender (The Sheared Ram), who states the Sheared Ram is not a pub, but he will sell players a beer from his personal stash for 70x Coins Coins.
Veos can also be found here, he is the quest giver for the X Marks the Spot quest.

Randal's Forge[]

Out in front of Randal's Forge are many furnaces where players can smelt ores into bars, and anvils to turn the bars into weapons and armor, this is a great beginner spot to train Smithing.
Inside players can find Old Man Randal the Blacksmith, he is the quest giver for The Lumbridge Blacksmith quest.

General Store[]

This is the town general store, where players can buy various useful items. General stores will also purchase items from the player.
Inside, players can find the General Store Owner and Postman, a Quest NPC within the Marriage Delivery quest.

Lumbridge Workshop[]

Inside this large workshop lies a Crafting Table, and two potion stands. This is a great spot to train early game CraftingCrafting and HerbloreHerblore.

Turael's Compound[]

Inside, players will find Turael, Lumbridge's main Slayer Master. Speaking with him allows the player to choose a SlayerSlayer task.

Outskirts[]

Goblin Settlement[]

This area is filled with goblins and spiders, making it a good spot to train combat for new players. Goblins are also a great early ThievingThieving option, as they only require 2 Thieving Thieving.
A goblin chief can also be found here, which is a bit stronger and requires 5 Thieving Thieving, but drops better loot.

Al-Kharid Toll Gate[]

To get into Al-Kharid through this gate, players will have to pay 10x Coins Coins to the Al-Kharid guard that patrols the entrance. It will also cost 10x Coins Coins to get back into Lumbridge through this gate.
Completion of the Prince Ali Rescue quest will allow the player to pass through this gate as often as they'd like, for free.

Cow Pen[]

The pen is full of level 2 cows, they are great mobs to train early combat levels on, and to collect Cow hide Cow hide which are used to train CraftingCrafting.

Chicken Coop[]

Here players will find many level 1 chickens and a single level 2 rooster. Killing these mobs is a great way to obtain feathers which are used in the FletchingFletching skill to make arrows and bolts .
Inside the house is a Flour barrel where players can fill pots with flour, which is used to create Dough Dough through the CookingCooking skill.

Fred's Farm House[]

Outside of Fred's house are a few level 1 chickens and a single level 2 rooster. He also has a plot of Cabbage Cabbage growing, and a few Strawberry Strawberry plants behind is house.
Inside lives Fred, the quest giver for the Sheep Shearer quest, upstairs lives Fred's son Weirdo, the quest giver for the What a Weirdo quest.
East of Fred's house is his sheep pen, where the player can collect Wool Wool that may be turned into Ball of wool Ball of wool, used to string amulets and necklaces through the CraftingCrafting skill.

Lumbridge Farm Plots[]

To the north of Lumbridge are many large fields growing low level FarmingFarming crops that can be harvested. The largest fields contain Melon Melon, Flax Flax, Pumpkin Pumpkin and Carrot Carrot. In the center of the carrot field, there are small sections of Potato Potato, Tomato Tomato and Sugar Sugar.
There are also smaller plots of harvestable farming crops around Lumbridge, such as Cabbage Cabbage, Strawberry Strawberry and Corn Corn.

Lumbridge Agility Area[]

There are two Lumbridge agility courses, one easy and one hard. These courses are a good starting off point to learn the basics of training AgilityAgility.
The easy course is extremely simple and will reward 500 XP in AgilityAgility upon the first completion, and then 100 XP for each subsequent completion.
The hard course is much more difficult, requiring many precise jumps, but rewards 2,750 XP upon the first completion, and then 550 XP for each subsequent completion.

H.A.M. Hideout[]

The entrance can be tricky to spot, it's located along the inside of the north wall of the ruins, hidden by some overgrown vegetation.
This area is filled with level 12 H.A.M. members that can be pickpocketed at level 15 Thieving Thieving. They are pickpocketed mainly for their Buttons drop, which is needed for the Animal Magnetism quest.
