Skill menu. NOTE: Quest points (Blue star on shield icon) is not a skill!

Skills are attributes that players can increase during their Gameplay. By constantly training actions that give experience, the player will eventually advance to the next level of that skill. The basic skill level is 1, and the maximum level is 120.

Skill Descriptions[]

Descriptions of all skills and their utility in-game.

Skill Uses
AttackAttack Wielding stronger melee weapons and hitting monsters more accurately in Melee.
StrengthStrength Dealing more melee damage and equipping certain weapons.
DefenceDefence Wearing stronger armour and decreasing chance of being hit.
RangedRanged Equipping stronger ranged weapons and armour. It also increases ranged accuracy.
PrayerPrayer Activating temporary aids to assist in combat.
MagicMagic Casting various combat and utility spells.
RunecraftingRunecrafting Creating runes used for casting Magic.
ConstitutionConstitution Amount of damage you can withstand.
CraftingCrafting Creating items such as jewellery, pottery, and ranged armour.
MiningMining Obtaining ores and minerals from rocks.
SmithingSmithing Smelting ores into bars and forging bars into armour and weapons.
FishingFishing Catching fish.
CookingCooking Making and cooking food.
FiremakingFiremaking Lighting fires.
WoodcuttingWoodcutting Chopping down trees.
AgilityAgility Traversing shortcuts and increases the rate at which energy recharges.
HerbloreHerblore Cleaning and using herbs to create potions.
ThievingThieving Stealing from market stalls and chests and pickpocketing non-player characters.
FletchingFletching Creating ranged weapons and ammunition.
SlayerSlayer Killing certain monsters that can't normally be defeated.
FarmingFarming Planting and harvesting crops.
ConstructionConstruction Building a player-owned house.
HunterHunter Capturing wild animals and creatures.
ExplorationExploration Exploring the world of MineScape, finding new cities, and discovering landmarks.

Skill types[]

There are four types of skills in MineScape: Combat, Gathering, Artisan, and Support.

Combat skills - These 7 skills involve fighting in combat:

AttackAttack, ConstitutionConstitution, DefenceDefence, MagicMagic, PrayerPrayer, RangedRanged, and StrengthStrength.

Gathering skills - These 5 skills involve obtaining resources or items from the environment:

FarmingFarming, FishingFishing, HunterHunter, MiningMining, and WoodcuttingWoodcutting.

Artisan skills - These 8 skills involve processing items obtained through gathering skills into finished products:

ConstructionConstruction, CraftingCrafting, CookingCooking, FiremakingFiremaking, FletchingFletching, HerbloreHerblore, RunecraftingRunecrafting, and SmithingSmithing,

Support skills - These 4 skills have no specific classification and are used to support the player's progress and other skills:

AgilityAgility, SlayerSlayer, ThievingThieving, and ExplorationExploration, a skill unique to MineScape.
