Strength
Strength skill guide

Strength is what gives power to melee attacks. The higher the strength, the harder the hits. Unlike attack or defence, it does not unlock new equipment as it increases in level. Strength determines maximum melee damage and applies to all melee weapons (with unconfirmed but suspected minor effects on ranged and magic).

For every strength level, melee damage increases in small but noticeable amounts, the exact numbers being unknown. Weapon damage is added onto the bonus from strength, so damage depends on the used weapon. Experimental results suggest the damage increase per strength level to be +0.3 for light weapons, +0.4 for normal weapons and +0.5 for heavy weapons.

The strength cape offers unlimited teleports to the Warriors' Guild.

Training[]

Strength experience is gained through melee combat. Strength experience is gained for every successful hit and is calculated from the dealt damage. The melee combat style affects how much of the experience goes to strength. With strength style, all experience goes to strength. With balanced style, 1/3rd of the gained experience goes to attack and the other thirds to attack and defence.

Boosts[]

Strength can be temporarily boosted with strength potions.

Tips[]

  • Strength is a useful skill to level but it is best to prioritize attack and defense as they allow you to get a higher base damage as well as increasingly better armor.
  • Strength should be prioritized to be able to one or two hit mobs
